Full Interview: Hillary Clinton Calls Anderson Cooper (9/12/16)

As Lawrence O'Donnell brilliantly noted last night, the media has lost its collective mind over Clinton's brief bout with pneumonia. Personally, I barely have the words to describe my disgust and dismay with the press anymore.

But luckily, Hillary has a ton of calm patience for all this nonsense and called in for an interview with CNN's Anderson Cooper to discuss her illness last night. Despite Anderson's laughable lack of "bedside manner", Clinton did well and even turned one of his ridiculous questions into an attack on nontransparent Donald Trump.

CNN.com:
Hillary Clinton said Monday night she's "met a high standard of transparency" about her health and didn't think the pneumonia was "going to be that big a deal."
Clinton said she felt dizzy and lost her balance Sunday, but did not lose consciousness, and is now "feeling so much better."

"I was supposed to rest five days -- that's what they told me on Friday -- and I didn't follow that very wise advice," Clinton told CNN's Anderson Cooper in a phone interview.

"So I just want to get this over and done with and get back on the trail as soon as possible," she said.
...
She said her campaign didn't publicly reveal her diagnosis because "I just didn't think it was going to be that big of deal."

"Obviously I should have gotten some rest sooner -- I probably would have been better off if I just pulled down my schedule on Friday, but like a lot of people, I thought that I could just keep going forward and power through it. And obviously that didn't work out so well," she said.
...

"What happened yesterday was that I just was incredibly committed to being at the memorial -- as a senator on 9/11, this is incredibly personal to me."

"I could feel how hot and humid it was. I felt overheated. I decided that I did need to leave. And as soon as I got into the air-conditioned van, I cooled off, I got some water, and very quickly, I felt better," she said.

"I felt fine, but I'm now taking my doctor's advice -- which was given to me on Friday, that I ignored -- to just take some time to get over pneumonia completely."

  1. I am so sick of the persecution of this very capable lady! Anderson Cooper has stooped to the same low level as most so called journalist have recently. Donald Trump needs to be investigated for his business dealings and the reason he won't release his taxes, and the push back of his rape trial just for starters!

  2. I'm extremely sick and tired of so many anchor men and women of MSNBC, CNN, take pride of berating Hillary Clinton for every little thing she says or does. Some anchors even goes as far as to address videos that have been doctored to make her look as if she's all shaky. That's been going on for months, so you can not tell me/us it's just recent. And yet they won't address the charge of rape, the charge of cheating people from receiving their Fair pay, the use of immigrants polish immigrants to build his name buildings not Trump buildings because they're in name only, the bogus gambling and buildings in Nevada which failed miserably, and his wives that were immigrants. The constant killing of endangered species by his son sit around hunting them down. And and give false information about their 2nd Amendment rights being taken away, I also would like to ask why the Press hasn't investigated the money he paid the Attorney General from Florida one day ? And why haven't you pushed for his tax records as you did Romney? What are you afraid of if you really were the Russians and you know that he can have your head chopped off? Where is freedom of the press? Regarding the Second Amendment, that's a blast of the past she just wants everyone that does purchase an automatic weapon of 500 rounds or more, that they have the mental capacity and have a waiting period in case they are just going to go out and kill people. Wolf Blitzer I used to watch you closely no more, Anderson Cooper he couldn't wait I just couldn't wait to hear your analysis and questions, no more. And I look forward to the Joy Reid and the program with all due respect and I look forward to many more intellectual hard-hitting men and women with courage to ask and keep asking the questions we would ask and not back down.
