Remember #RNCinCLE last week? Me neither.
This was an extraordinary day that instantly washed away the bad taste in my soul that was caused by whatever that was in Cleveland last week. Seriously, just one day in and we've already kicked the Republican Party's collective butt. A truly incredible week has just begun.
Seeing it in person from beginning to end also made me appreciate the incredible stagecraft and planning that goes into making a successful convention. In comparison to last week's random assortment of mostly unknown and largely insane speakers, #DemsInPhilly had a solid plan, amazing flow and one terrific speaker after another. It all made so much sense.
Also, there was no plagiarism and the musical acts were top-notch.
The First Lady's emotional speech will rightly go down in history as one of the best convention speeches ever, but that just scratches the surface. Bernie Sanders did well and the endorsement came through loud and clear. Elizabeth Warren was very solid, although Michelle was an extremely tough act to follow. Cory Booker was phenomenal. Al Franken was hilarious. Sarah Silverman said what needed to be said, and I'm glad it was her.
And lets not forget the wonderful Anastasia Somoza and Karla Ortiz. And still there was so much more.
