Clinton Emerges Victorious Yet Again at CNN's Iowa Town Hall
Did you watch CNN's town hall from Iowa last night? If not, here's a recap: Bernie was fine, Martin was O'Malley...but with Hillary we once again saw the next president.
Not since the first Democratic debate have we seen Clinton so on point. Right out of the gate, it was clear that she had the eye of the tiger. She was vibrant, forceful, passionate and funny, convincingly handling some tough questions with ease. And it could not have come at a better time.
The performance was all the more impressive because of something that happened earlier in the day that didn't get a lot of attention. In the middle of a speech to the Jewish Federation of Greater Des Moines, Clinton had a pretty nasty coughing fit that pretty much knocked out her voice for several minutes. Nevertheless, after taking several drinks of water and a lozenge, she finished the speech and took questions with what sounded like a runny nose. This had me a little worried that her voice would be compromised or that she might even be a little sick during the town hall. But as you can see from the video, there was absolutely nothing to worry about. How does she do it? It's amazing. (Ironically, Bernie seemed to be the one with the scratchy throat.)
That's one hell of a lozenge...and one unstoppable future President of the United States.
