With less than two months to go (which includes the holiday lull) Hillary is holding strong in Iowa:
Hillary Clinton leads Bernie Sanders by 22 points in Iowa, according to a new poll.
A Monmouth University survey released on Tuesday found Clinton taking 55 percent support over Sanders at 33 percent.
Monmouth found that Clinton's lead is due in large part to her domination among women and voters over fifty...and also that 22 points might actually be lowballing it.
Clinton’s support comes from those who are more likely to participate in the caucuses on Feb. 1, the poll found.
Among those who have participated in caucuses in the past, Clinton’s lead expands to 27 points over Sanders. The pattern is becoming clear in Iowa and elsewhere: Democrats are consolidating around the lifelong Democrat whose historic candidacy will crush the deranged and disarrayed Republicans next November.
