Al Franken's Casual Endorsement

(With the Hillary endorsements piling up fast, I think it's worth revisiting the funniest endorsement so far. Published on January 16th of this year, this was the second-ever post at Hillary HQ. Thanks again for the support and laughs, Al! -Scan)

Here is Senator Al Franken stumbling (apparently) into an early endorsement of Hillary Clinton in an interview with MSNBC in December. This interview occurred before the launch of this site, but since you may never see an endorsement this amusing again, in case you missed it...

This shouldn't really come as a surprise, however: Al's razor-thin margin of victory in 2008 probably wouldn't have been possible without the repeated help of the Clintons in the home stretch. But thank goodness they did help, because Al Franken has been an amazing senator for the state of Minnesota and his landslide reelection last year was a rare bright spot in a very rough year for the Democrats.

And while we're on the subject...Clinton/Franken 2016?

  1. We've never had a more experienced, better prepared, and wildly popular potential nominee in the history of the Democratic party.

That she'll shatter the tallest glass ceiling along the way is the icing on the cake!

  2. Franken is just a crack-up, even when he's being serious! And what he said was great: She is experienced and tough. To that I would add: Practical. I think is realistic about what can be accomplished.

  3. New Gravis Poll in NH--Sanders33 HILLARY 30---who's "surging" now. Poll totally ignored by press today. I saw a CNN interview this morning--unbelievably biased against Clinton. HOWEVER Hillary is still 2/3 odds for the Dem nomination according to latest Vegas odds--and they are always right.

    1. Saw that poll...it was intriguing. Only thing is, it's Gravis...not the best reputation. But will keep an eye on polls...hopefully this is a hint of a resurgence for Hillary in NH.
